Beta 2 comming soon

Postby Stoner » Tue Sep 01, 2009 11:22 am

I have began to build Beta 2. I think you will be pleased with this one as it will have support for EXT4 read and write. I have added a newer kernel to the Beta and have tested the ext4 support and it mounts properly and you can read and write to the disk. You will still have the option to drop back to the stock kernel if it does not suit your needs or prefer a stable kernel. This will help those who have been having problems with ext4 support in the previous beta. If you want any app included or have some art you would like to add then now is the time.

Wow, an ext3 that supports ext4. That will be cool.

Can't wait.

No it will be based on Lenny but I did add a newer kernel that sid uses that will enable some extra hardware that Lenny's kernel does not. It will also allow you to read/write to EXT4 drives as well.

silly question...whats going to be beta about it?I found nothing wrong with the first run of P.D.,besides the glitch with the partitioner(whether while installing,or not). It's a stable os in my opinion.More so that I'm thinking of putting it on my laptop also.(I use my lappy 80% of the time).Which leads me to my next question...will you be making it 32,or 64 bit?...lappy is 32 bit.Either way I know it will be a good one. ;)

It is only in beta as I am still tweaking it to my liking. You will be getting both x32 and x64 this time.
